FFAF sXe. You are truley, uneducated. Have you ever heard the first two cds? There is nothing screamo/hardcore about them. Dallas Taylor Made this band what it was. The band is still good, dont get me wrong, but compared to their old style id take it over Define the Great Line anyday. Seriously; if you check out the cd Cries of the Past; youd stfu.

Yeah i have those albums, but I'm pretty sure Mr. Avenged Sevenfold is not talking about them because I'm sure he hadn't heard of Underoath pre-Spencer Chamberlain era.

They aren't gospel, gospel is another word for praise and worship and they are obviously not that either. they're lyrics are about failed relationships with girls friends family, and about self discovery through struggle. der!

Yeah, Really looking forward to what it'll sound like cause Underoath changes their style of playing in every single album.
I'm hoping that comes out great.

While I laughed at the thought of "As I Lay Dying" being put as a similiar artist. I still like this band, again, as people have pointed out numerous times that they're a Christian band [atheist in the house]. They're a good band to just chill with, when you're not in the mood to headbang till you're dizzy.
And before anyone starts throwing a tantrum about me disregarding them as metal, I have indeed listened to "Cries of the Past", but I'm referring to their current sound, not their old style.

If a band ends a song with "Jesus, I'm ready to come home", I think it's okay to consider them gospel. Best moment was when they whined on Warped Tour. The end.

These guys are so religious... and it surprises me I like them as much as I do. I think I like them mostly because they used mixed meter so much and their stuff is somewhat technical... I mean that in the sense that they aren't always in 4-4...
