Numbers mean nothing, plus that's in regard to how
often it's viewed in regards to other bands

I think Lyin Heart might have just been making a
joke about Mastodon being ranked the number of the
beast, guys. Anyway, Mastodon are one of the
coolest acts around today, they're very classic
but still remain original and fresh. They're one
of the hardest acts around today without just
trying to be hard for the sake of it, the
crunching dual melodies, the jazzy drums, the
thumping bass lines, it all goes together
incredibly well. Ace band and I'm looking forward
to many more years of them.

Can't really get into this band anymore. The
vocals sound like nails on a chalkboard to me.

It took me so long to get into Mastodon. I'd heard
a few songs here and there, but none of them ever
really stood out to me, except for maybe March of
the Fire Ants, from Remission. As much as I hate
to say it, playing Rock Band 2 was a godsend for
getting me truly into these guys, Colony of
Birchmen REALLY stood out to me, and was really
the song that made me check out the rest of their
albums. So here I sit today completely awestruck
by how amazing they are, and loving everything
they've released. And like Ganon said before, I
look forward to many more awesome years of them.
Absolutely cannot fucking wait to see them live.
