They took a leaping jump backwards with the new
album. I'm very disappointed.

I honestly hope no one is listening to this guy.
Misery Signals has moved in any backwards
direction with controller. They have retained much
of the same sound on Mirrors. The only complaint I
have with Controller is that Karl's deep scream
keeps the same tone every time he uses it which is
about 90% of the time. His lows just get boring.
Its funny because I don't remember Mirrors being
at all like that... Vocally I mean.

If anything Controller is a big step forward from
Mirrors, which was in itself a huge step BACK from
Of Malice and the Magnum Heart. Not to say
Mirrors was bad at all, just not what it could
have been.

In my opinion, I would have to say Of Malice And
The Magnum Heart is still probably their best
album out of the current three.

Of Malice was good, but just cause it was their
introductory album that most of you all fell in
love with first, does not make it the best.
Mirrors, in my opinion, musically and vocally have
surpassed both the new and the old. It was very
fluent, each song had a lot of emotional power,
similar to the first album, but the first vocalist
SUCKED compared to Karl; the sooner you guys
realize that, the better your experience will be.
The new one is a good listen but it doesn't flow
as well as the others. Plus it seemed like they
wanted to take it a little more public and catch a
younger audience. Hopefully they don't snowball
that train of thought because this could be a
fantastic album to induce children into the metal
world. >8D
I have yet to find a better mesh of emotion than
this band and I'm starting to have my doubts if
it's possible.

I fucking love the new album. It seems more like a
style evolution. But all their stuff is great and
i have to agree with the first thing zDodgeThis
said. If you heard Of Malice first and they
changed their style, you should give it a chance.
Just because it's different doesn't make it bad.
Everyone always seems to get so pissed off when a
band changes it up, but it's still good stuff. I
heard Of Malice first and i loved it, it's
amazing, but Controller is also equally amazing.
Different is good sometimes.

Oh and I'm going to reserve judgment on Mirrors as
I have not heard that album yet.

Controller is disgustingly overproduced. Some good
songs, but it's one of the most artificial
sounding albums I've ever heard.
