Rody's vocal style and lyric content. Everything else is pretty metal.

crazy white trash brother
ummm... his lyrics are very conceptual, and his vocals are verys seventies, he has the vibrato of a classically singer, far from emo's talentless falsetto's. if dragonforce can play the same up scale down scale riffing and high pitched melodic vocals and still be called "heavy metal", i think protest the hero should be embraced as metal innovators. nothing close to emo, scremo, or post hardcore.

Yeah, except for the part where Rody doesn't write the lyrics.

Pisses me off, when they played here they were drinking and a bunch of damn straightedge kids were yelling at them.
They played with A Day to Remember, Silverstein, and The Devil Wears Prada.
The only reason I went was to see Protest the Hero, and it just really got on my last nerve, fuckers were booing them just because they drink beer?
Stupid fucking scenes.

Nevertheless,
one of the most talented bands out there, very original and classy.

And Rody is pretty fucking amazing too :D

Their like a next generation metal Rush and Canada's answer to DragonForce they draw musical influence from punk, thrash, and metal to make one kickass style and I love every second of music they make
