I seriously don't see anything about "Genesis" that isn't death metal.

crazy white trash brother
nothing revolutionary by any meaning of the word. This band is young and needs to learn the ropes of the genre, because all death metal bands sound the same these days.

I unfortunately saw them live once with Behemoth. The nicest thing I could say about them is they were boring and unenergetic. they just stood there barely moving the whole time. not to mention they suck and all their fans are wannabes

I saw these guys with Behemoth, Gojira, and Beneath the Massacre. Simply put: these guys suck(along with BTM, but that is a rant for another day.) The fact that these guys co-headlined the tour with Behemoth is almost an insult to Gojira, because they are a much more brutal, unique, and energetic band. This isn't an exaggeration: all of their songs sound the same. To be fair, I don't own their album, but any differences between songs would be apparent to anyone. Unfortunately, I will have to see them again at Gingantour this year, and I am not looking forward to that at all.

I don't know, I liked the Doom EP. It was more metalcore with lots of really good breakdowns. Genesis sucked, but I think that was because they tried to ditch the core for more metal which would be fine if it were done properly. But it all just sounds forced and boring, and it seems like they were just victims of trying to fit in to a certain scene. I bet they'll get better once they figure out who they are a little better.
