I love Atreyu. Atreyu is my favorite band. They're also the best band in the world. If you disagree, you need to suck a fat one. I'd redecorate the walls with your inner thoughts, but I'm afraid it's the wrong shade of red.

The greatest hits was released so they can get off of Victory Records. They needed to release one more album so they put that out instead of an actual album.

A DEATH GRIP ON YESTERDAY was a very disappointing album. Almost made them lose all of their appeal. Older albums are good though especially Suicide Notes and Butterfly kisses.

Great band.got all there cds ,there what got me in to the more metalish stuff i like.one thing i can't get over is the endorsmet list on LEAD SAILS... ATREYU dont sell out to the man. they do need to go back to there roots alittle more in the next album......at least they were able to keep a basist for more then one album

This band didn't sell out...sure they want to get on the radio...so excuse them for putting some emotion into a couple songs. I'm sorry they don't conform to your ideals. Maybe you should stop arguing about them conforming just a little, stop listening to the CD if you don't like it, and quit complaining.

Good point OneWingedAngel980. I personally hated the new album, but only because they used to be a metal band, and now they sound like a punk band. Just not my style. There's no such thing as a sell-out.

the comeback of "stop listening to the cd" is too cliche and doesnt get the point across. Usually when someone thinks a band sucks, they dont "keep listening" to it. Suicide Notes And Butterfly Kisses is one of the best cd's IMO, but the new shit is just lame, boring, and sounds like everything else. not too much you can do about it though ;\

you have to admit that "Suicide Notes..." was a damn good album. And even "Curse" was good too. I think "Sucide.." was back when the band was the most original. but the new album has parts that sound almost exactly like My Chemical Romance! (i hate that shit by the way) so thats pretty lame. And I literally laughed out loud in my car when i heard the cover of Faith No More. bad move. I understand the bands need to grow and change, but their choice to go mainstream was the wrong direction.

Atreyu is actually a very entertaining band. Their old stuff was awesome. Their new stuff is awesome. Period. They didnt sell out either. Every band needs to change things up every once in a while. instead of complaining and calling them sellouts, you guys should should take a second listen to lead sails paper anchor. Its pretty cool. Sure its different, but its not bad. And theyre great live.

i use to be soooo obsessed with this band but i know bands change their style but atreyu changed a bit to much for me and that makes me sad because they were better off with the older style..... musicdidntmakeme i did listen to it many times, you dont know what your talkin about. you mean to tell me clean sheets was a good song, i beg to differ you dumbass

I used to love Atreyu. SN&BK was the third hardcore-ish CD I bought (I know, it really isn't, but considering that I was new to this type of music I'm using it as a broad term) and I loved it. The Curse was a step backwards, aside from one or two songs (NOT Right Side of the Bed, fuck that song). For some reason I really liked Deathgrip, with the exception of the third song. Then they released Lead Sails Paper Anchor or whatever it's called, and I just got let down. Sure, it's catchy, and the guitar part in the beginning of Becoming the Bull is awesome, but once I hear him say "grab the bull by the horns" I just hate it. The band has changed, which is understandable, but I think it's for the worse. Just my opinion.

I've never really been into the metalcore scene but I vaguely liked these guys. I much prefer their new songs mostly because the screaming wasn't really that good (thats not to say I hate screaming totally, the screamer dude just blew in this band). Another thrash, hard rock revival band, fine by me.

I wonder why metalcore bands start singing after a while? My guess is that they get bored churning out similar sounding songs all the time. (Thats my main problem with metalcore, too many screaming albums get too samey and boring.) Still, screaming and post screaming, these guys are decent.
