Probably the greatest band to have ever been.
Nobody lives up their greatness.

You can argue that they weren't the best band ever
to be, but you cannot deny that without them, none
of the rock bands around today would be
themselves. They are hands-down the most
influencing band ever.

They were very influential to pretty much all of
modern rock in some way or another. I am not
really a big fan of their early lovey-dovey stuff
but I enjoy the white album and the songs that are
darker and more emotionally-laden. I agree with
some people here that they're not the "greatest"
band of all time, but they deserve a lot of
respect and credit in the least.

People who did their research are correct the
beatles influenced even the greatest of artists to
this day but on a side note their music is boring
and annoying.

I'm definitely NOT ignorant when it comes to
music. Neither am I closed minded like a lot of
people seem to be... I grew up with The Beatles
and I will always love them... I even have a large
tattoo piece in honor of them... Just because they
aren't hardcore music or emo music doesn't mean
they aren't talented.. They don't have to scream
or write songs about wanting to kill themselves to
be a great band, unlike more than HALF the bands
this day and age. But besides having good music,
they are good people. I had the honor of meeting
Paul and he was one of the nicest people I have
ever met. So really, if you don't like them, why
the hell are you wasting your time writting bad
about them on a lyric website?? That does not make
sense, obviously you think about them enough to
come write about them.

WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUSICALLY RETARDED SOME
PEOPLE ARE. THE BEATLES ARE DEFINITELY NOT BORING.
AND THEY ARE THE GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME. AND I
HAVE TO AGREE WITH WITH JESKAFACE. YEAH THEY
AREN'T A HARDCORE ROCK BAND BUT WITHOUT THEM MUSIC
WOULDN'T BE WHERE IT IS TODAY. JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE
TOO YOUNG TO APPRECIATE THE POWER AND AWESOMENESS
OF THEIR MUSIC AND LYRICS DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE
RIGHT TO SPOUT OFF STUPID COMMENTS. SO WHY DON'T
YOU GO BACK AND LISTEN TO YOUR CRAPPY MUSIC AND
LEAVE TRUE MUSIC LOVERS ALONE.

Fucking Beatles.

Their so creative yet so simple.
Still the most popular band in the world.

it wasn't until very recently that i could
appreciate their music. i really do think that
it's a more mature style though. you need to
really listen to them to understand their songs,
which is why most people probably get bored by
them, because it's not GRRRRRRRR I'M SO SAD GRRRRR
in your face. it's good. just good. leave it at
that.

Wow, I'm shocked that anyone could talk any shit
about the Beatles. They are definitely one of the
greatest and most influential bands of all time.
How could anyone consider them boring when no two
albums are anything alike? They expanded across a
huge range of genres and experimented in a ton of
different ways while still remaining popular and
true to themselves. They took the world by storm
not only with their music (started the British
invasion), but also influenced fashion and hair
trends (just look around at all the kids in suits
and Beatle hair cuts). Plus, let's not forget how
intelligent and funny they were in movies and
interviews. Which, is more then I can say for
most of the musicians we have today. A band that
is boring or shitty would not be covered non-stop
(commercials, movies, etc.) 40 years after they've
broken up. The Beatles will forever be one of my
favorite bands. R.I.P John and George. You will
always be missed

The only reason I love the Beatles is because all
they would listen to at work was them and they
grew on me greatly. I never listened to them
because I thought they were overrated and I was
wrong. dead wrong. This is an amazing group that
put out hit after hit and changed styles up with
every album. Truly a talented band and every
member was amazing. Definately one of my favorite
bands.

Just one of those bands that everyone thinks we
are all obligated to like because of their
history. I won't deny what they did for music,
good or bad, but I will say I grow very sleepy and
bored when I listen to them.

My 3 favourite bands are The Beatles, Zep and
Floyd. Funny that 2 of them were influence by the
3rd. And if you don't know which is which then
what the hell are you doing here, there and
everywhere?

The greatest band that ever was and ever will be.
Without this band, you would all be listening to
crooners and Elvis-ripoffs. Their impact on music
is that deep. Icons such as these will never be
seen again.

i think we are missing the point the beatles are
amazing yes, and some of there songs can be
repetitve yes, but the beatles are a HUGE part of
musical evolution starting with the blues long ago
when someone would record oh say muddy waters for
example on an acoustic guitar, then a recording
would get across the pond to uk where they added
electric guitars and it went back and forth until
you got bands like beatles who inspired huge
amounts of people including black sabbath who
basically created a genre though the two bands
music is not similar at all in most cases. so
simplistic songs yes, great achievements very.
like them or not if i had to choose they are not
my favorite band by any means, but they are one of
the most influential and will be for generations
to come by simpling writing repetitive boring
songs but at the time I'm sure they were ground
breaking, i'm done ranting

They COULD be simplistic at times, but not always.
It is ignorant to think they were simplistic all
the time. Listen to something like "A Day In The
Life" and then revise your opinion.

"simpling writing repetitive boring songs but at
the time I'm sure they were ground breaking"
I'm not even going to correct the grammar issues
in this statement, but what are you talking about?
There music is all over the place. I mean,
"Revolver", "Magical Mystery Tour", "Abbey Road"
or "The White Album". No two albums are the same.
They may have been simplistic at times, but that's
because they could rely on their vocal and
instrumental abilities and didn't need a bunch of
extra crap like the artists we have today.

I feel lame saying this, but I totally am! I
mean, I like Metallica and Aerosmith, but I can't
imagine entire games devoted to them. The Beatles
on the other hand, that's brilliant and the
instruments are modeled after theirs. Plus, I
love that Paul, RIngo, Dhani and the widows were
so involved. I can't imagine it won't be good.
