Music is appreciated as an extended perception of
our senses. Like all art it In-sues emotion and
inspiration. Modest Mouse has captured the best
of this.
Issac's song writing offers a window into numerous
trails of philosophy, while demonstrating the
flaws of the human condition. Hopelessness
(Trailer Trash, Different city, Dramamine), love
longing (Little Motel, Heart Cooks Brain),
inevitability of death (Ocean Breaths Salty,
Parting of The Sensory), the blight of religion
(Bankrupt on Selling, Jesus Christ was an Only
Child) and the downfalls of mankind (Tiny City's
Made of Ashes, Convenient Parking) are all present
along side a mix of original guitar work,
unconventional drumming, and Issac's unique
expressive voice.
This is music, not for the money, not for the
fame.
