George Harrison was sued following the release of "My Sweet Lord" because it was believed that it resembled The Chiffon's hit "He's So Fine". Harrison was found to be guilty of unintentionally copying the song. He was ordered to surrender the rights to "My Sweet Lord" and part of the royalties generated by the album, All Things Must Pass. The Chiffons would later record "My Sweet Lord" to capitalize on the publicity generated by the lawsuit. Harrison would eventually buy The Chiffons hit.
