So here we have the latest album from the group known as Sonic Youth. For me, this is a rather difficult album to review since I was never too much of a fan of theirs, and listening to this album didn't make me one either. I always found that this group had some good, and interesting lyrics, but they always sounded asthough they didn't FEEL anything they were playing about. This album is none the different.

The cd itself lacks a lot of passion in my mind. It just sounds like a group of kids sitting around all burnt out, and singing whatever comes to their head with no real feeling whatsoever. Now musically on a few songs, I can sense what they're going for, and it does sound good; But that just doesn't take away from the boring vocals that put you to sleep.

Not one song stood out for me, and really, apart from the different members singing, they all sounded the same. But I suppose if you were a fan of the band before, than this album would do you justice. For me though, it didn't cut it at all. Sadly it turned me off of the band completely.
