Throwdowns last album added more of a metal sound to it and I thought it was a step in the right direction and was really looking forword to this release. Until I heard their songs on MySpace.

If Trivium is trying to be Metallica, than Throwdown is trying to be Pantera, except for the fact that theyre not even close to being as good as Pantera. Their sound on this album is identical to Pantera just lacking alot less talent in the songwriting and guitar soloing. The vocals even at times sound like a complete ripoff of Phil Anselmo.

This band has done a complete 180 over the last couple of years. The sound on this album may stem from the fact that there is not an original member in the band anymore. These are all guys that have joined the band over the years. Although Ive said, and written on this website, that I wasnt too impressed with their album "Haymaker," I find that more enjoyable than this. Its just too mediocre of a Pantera ripoff to even enjoy. The songs all blend together with the exception of "S.C.U.M." They really should go back to their old ways.
