I don't think there are many covers that top the original song, but when synth-industrial-pop band Orgy released this cover of New Order as their second single from their debut album "Candyass" they actually made the song better than the original and made it their own. "Blue Monday" is one of my favourite covers ever, it's flawless, it's perfect, it's great (in this case it's the 'single mix' I'm referring to)... However, this CD single is not. Ok, you have to give the band some credit for releasing a single that in total time clocks in at 48 minutes, but it's all because of some terrible dance remixes that go on for 6 to 8 minutes and hardly features any of the vocals, like the remix of "Stitches" that only contains the vocals 'fucking/loving you is strange' and the "Blue Monday" remixes just uses a part of the chorus 'how does it feel...'. These remixes are horrible, they are boring and plain and I can't really picture anyone dancing to them. Why couldn't they have put some b-sides, demos or live tracks on here instead? The only thing that keeps my rating up for this single is the 'single mix' (that's just a slightly different, shorter version of the album version) and the multimedia part for you computer that is the music video for "Blue Monday", so this one is for hardcore Orgy fans only, if you like the song "Blue Monday" you are actually better off getting their full-length album "Candyass"
