I have to say I wasn't into Marz throughout the years other than his time with Dark Lotus back in 2000 but other than that I hardly listened to him. Just a few songs from his Lung Fu Mo She album which IMO wasn't that great. Which is why I was shocked when I stumbled up on this cd in my oldest and dustiest album case. I was shocked I had it, confused where I got it from, and curious as to why I never listened to it. Little did I know I was in for a surprise.

This mixtape features 14 songs, some of which use beats and samples from other famous songs. Like American Dream uses the beats from "Dust your shoulders off" by Jay-Z. Don Dada uses "Big Pimpin" also by Jay-Z. I think there might be a few more but I while I do recognize some of the beats I can't match sound with artist off the top of my head.

Other than the beats he uses from other artists this song has some great mixes and production. Some nice beats that make you bob your head while listening to them. The lyrics are really good, too. Nice to hear a decent rap album these days, even if this album is about 5 years old. I was shocked to say I REALLY enjoy this album. In fact I've listened to it 3 times since finding it from beginning to end, but that's not saying every song is worth listens over and over. But I'm curious as to why this is a mixtape and not an LP, it has 13 songs that I don't see on any of his other albums. OH well.

Marz is a pretty good rapper with great production, good lyrics and even features guest like Pack man, who is an underground rap legend from chi town.. Where Marz also resides.

This album starts off good, ends great and every song is good. This album was more than refreshing to hear being a rap fan.

Songs that stand out:
Bury me
American dream
Preditor and PRey

Other good songs:
Clothes off
We B Thuggin
Don Dadda

But there are some songs that get old are I am skipping now including Tina got a secret, Livin in chi and Whut I want.

But like I said every song is good and I am dissapointed I had this cd this whole time but never listened to it. This is a great mixtape and overall a really good rap album.
