Look, Jayon has a point in that while Jesse was capable, he was a far better vocalist for Killswitch, but in screwing up his throat after Alive Or Just Breathing? ws released he proved he was using it incorrectly. Howard, easily a worthy replacement, has transformed Killswitch into more than just a run of the mill metalcore band. More melody has been injected into the sound, apparent on tracks such as this and Rose Of Sharyn. In my opinion, despite My Last Serenade, this is a vast improvement. Nice one lads!

I agree totally with DistortedLogic, Jesse was a badassed vocalist for the harder metalcore version of Killswitch with lacked truly amazing structure on their self titled release, AOJB was an all around great album. but Jesse still didn't transition between the clean vocals and growls. When The Howard Jones came to KE, he added a whole new element that broadened their music for the best. This band is on fire. When was the last time a metalcore/hardcore band was able to connect with the pop masses. NEVER! And funny thing is they did it without everyone criticising with the "Sold Out" method. BTW anyone ever heard the B-side "My Life Is Yours"? Truly amazing, should have been on this album.

OK, so you think that it is metal to come out with one CD, and then use that same formula and recycle it 10 times over for every CD? All bands change, they change members, and to an extent, they change styles. After Paul left Iron Maiden after Killers came out, look who came in and replaced him, Bruce Fucking Dickinson. Iron Maiden came back with a slightly modified sound and a singer with a style completely different from their old one, and their next 5 albums were Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, 7th Son of a 7th Song, and Somewhere in Time. 5 classics, released after 2 other incredible yet different sounding albums, which showed the band evolving and exploring new grounds that they hadn't touched in previous albums. It's not metal to change? Fuck that. Metal is about creativity as much as anything, and it's not creative to recycle albums.

I don't know what genre to put them in exactly, but I sure as fuck know its not screamo. I never used to listen to KSE until my flatmate brought The End Of Heartache. I don't know if that Jesse guy was a better vocalist, I've never heard him, but long story short is Howard Jones a bad vocalist? Fuck No. As for KSE doing a clean version of this, I've never heard it so I can't comment. So what if they changed their singer, Jesse fucked his throat from what I've read so it's not like they had much choice. Stop bagging this song out and enjoy it, It's a great fucking song.
