To anybody who doubs the current face of Slipknot:
Realize that Slipknot is changing with the times
and that Corey Taylor is making his lyrics more
socially consious and not just "Fuck this, Fuck
that." It's "Her's why I'm saying fuck this, this
fuck that" Besides, it sounds like they found a
reason to have nine members. There is now various
melodies that blend together and not just a high,
medium, and low of the same melody. In case you
didn't realize, I love this song and hope the
album sounds like this.

about metal. Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage,
Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir or any other REAL
metal band will play circles around them any day.

May they rot in hell right along their Nu-Metal

These guys are 35-40 and screaming about the

musicians. Put the trashcans away, take off the

If I only like these bands because of their
obscurity, why the hell are most of those bands
that I've listed playing Ozzfest. Dimmu is on the
main stage, Cradle headlined the sided stage last
year, KSE and Shadows Fall were at the top of the
bill for side stage last year. They sell out
everytime they come play in L.A. Fans were lined
up all the way around Sunset and Vine to see COF
at the Palace all day. And I never said shit about
Atreyu or Bleeding Through being metal. I said
they were Hardcore. COF and Dimmu are European
Death Metal by the way, but far be it from me to
point out that the metal scene in the U.S. is as
close to dead as can be. If you want good metal
you gotta look to all the European bands like
Dimmu, COF, and In Flames. As far as the whole
satanism thing goes, dude that shit died with
Motley Crue. Go back and listen to Cradle, their
albums are stories. "Cruelty and the Beast" was
about Elizabeit Bathory, "Damnation and a Day" was
taken from the book of Genesis.

this should have been the opening track on vol. 3,
or had the part when coreys talking be the first
track then it goes straight into the song. prelude
3.0 is slow, dumb and pointless. i dont wanna hear
"now its over" before the album even starts, thats
just ironic and dumb. 742617000027 and [515] set
the mood for the music to follow. now its over is
like saying now the days when slipknot made heavy,
semi-satanic, (sic) music is in fact over. the
way the album is set up you dont hear sid till
track 9 and its just not slipknot without sid or
craig for that mater, its 9 members not 7

i think this a well written musical album, and can
appreciate it that way, but i completely agree
with born of fire. this album just doesn't really
sound like the slipknot we were used to. also, it
seems more like there are 3 vocalists rather than
1 and 2 percussionists. however, i still
appreciate and like this album, but for different
reasons than the slipknot or iowa.

A lot of people told me this song was the best on
the album though I tend to disagree but it does
not make it a bad song. The shredding coming from
the guitars is pretty nice though I must say and
its nice that they made a song for there true fans
showing them that they appreciate there support.
