I can't believe I did it and I am proud to say it but this song made me cry after all the (sic) shit I have been through in my life this one song broke my shell and let a peep of emotion through and it was in the form of tears. I got a chance to preview this entire album and it is by far one of my favorite albums ever by anyone. Those of you who say this is Stone Sourish your right it does sound a little sourish but the thing is its not Stone Sour so piss off. This is pure slipknot it has a mellow depressing sound to it but the lyrics are purely slipknot and Corey didn't even write this song so get your facts straight.

Anyway this is my favorite song on the slipknot album. When this cd first came out everyone was bashing on how slipknot are going soft and how these acoustics suck. Well now look at things they are not just the best acoustics they are fucking amazing vermillion part 2 is a masterpiece and really does show how much talent corey taylor and the rest of slipknot have. People only wish they had what this band got going when they release the next album I'm expecting it to sell around the 7 million zone.

This is an Amazing song. There's no such thing as "Selling Out" - to those who say so... only Maturing in life. and the artists' lives reflect in their music. therefore, their music matures and so does the content. That's the exact opposite of selling out. That's just being smart and realizing that whatever it is pays off in its own particular way. It's just knowing that you were able to accomplish what you want - and if the dollar comes with, that's a bonus. Selling out would be a group that ONLY does what the fans want so that they will automatically go buy the record and dish somemore money. The group kinda sells in the beginning, then the consumer buys the product... making the buyer the same sell-out. A great song for all this is "Hooker With A Penis" by Tool. --- Vermillion and Vermillion, Pt. 2 are wonderfully done songs.

ok MWR you are like the smartest person whose posted on here. i hadnt realised this before but it all makes sense now. there is no way what slipknot have done could be concieved as selling out. it's the opposite. if slipknot wanted to sell out, then they would release an album exactly the same style as Slipknot and Iowa, because they have proven to be very popular, and no doubt all the maggots would go out and buy the new one and love it because it sounds the same. what they have really done is take a huge gamble in releasing a cd as different as their old ones. obviously certain people would hear the new music, and condemn it for being different, thus acheiving the opposite of selling out, because less people would buy it if they heard that it was shit, thus NOT SELLING OUT!

if this album does nothing else, it proves these boys are musicians. their music is very well put together and is quite complex. whether it is this song or a song like people = sh*t, all their songs have the same brand of cmplexity and are all very well written and played. therefore, in my mind, since the songs on this album still display the same complexity and achieve the same musical quality, this album is not selling out. and i also believe that the lyrics are becoming ever more potent. very powerful.

I have no comment about the song I just have to jump at the controversy around it, Selling out isn't possible in the music industry because once you sign a record contract you're doing it for money regardless of how little or much you make, two the slayer acoustic song, I heard an acoustic cover of south of heaven and it was awesomely good, instead of the angry violent sound slayer delivers it was more haunting. Opeth, not touching it because Opeth is just genius no matter how you look at it. As far as the song sounding to stone sour, well shit...corey never sang that often BEFORE stone sour so get over it. And as far as the part 1 is better bullshit, if you look at the two songs in a form of a strange love story listen to part 2 first then 1 and it makes more sense I think. Lucid Dreams

This is a pretty good song and I love how even though its acoustic it still stays true with its brother on the music. I saw the video for this and really didnt care for it. It was just some chick floating the whole time and it was kind of a waist but thats just me. Slipknot have shown that they can explore anywhere and do a great job.
