We get some rules to follow
That and this, these and those
No one knows
We get these pills to swallow
How they stick in your throat
Tastes like gold
Oh, what you do to me
No one knows
And I realize you're mine
Indeed a fool of mine
And I realize you're mine
Indeed a fool of mine
Ahh
I journey through the desert
Of the mind with no hope
I found low
I drift along the ocean
Dead lifeboats in the sun
And come undone
Pleasently caving in
I come undone
And I realize you're mine
Indeed a fool of mine
And I realize you're mine
Indeed a fool and mine
Ahhh
Heaven smiles above me
What a gift can be love
But no one knows
A gift that you give to me
No one knows

Catchy and nice rhythm. I didn't like the song the first few times I heard it, but it definitely grew on me and it's now one of my favorites on the radio.

Even after it's been flogged to death on the radio here. Even though it's the only QotSA song they do play on the radio here. I'm still not bored of it. The winner of the JJJ Hottest 100 of 2002.

the first time i heard this song, was on mtv. so not only was i listening to it for the first time, but viewing it as well. my friend and i were fucked up, and the video just fucked with is even more... when that deer bitch slapped that dude and then took control of the car, my friend and i couldn't stop laughing... fun video, fun song, but after hearing this song on the radio all the damn time, i got tired of it REAL quick.... nonetheless, it's a good song to listen to if you haven't heard it in awhile...

The instrumental part of this song is just kick ass. It also is one of the hardest riffs for guitar. And after the radio has stopped playing it, it sounds so good.

I remember someone saying that there was a subliminal message on this song about taking pills. Heh, excellent song. This track really helped this band kick off and become popular.
