Starry nights city lights
Coming down over me
Skyscrapers and stargazers
In my head
Are we we are, Are we we are
The waiting unknown
This dirty town was burning down in my dreams
Lost and found city bound in my dreams

And screaming
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting
And screaming
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting

Forget me nots and second thoughts
Live in isolation
Heads or tails and fairytales in my mind
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting unknown
The rage and love, the story of my life
The Jesus of suburbia is a lie
And screaming

And screaming
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting
And screaming
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting
And screaming
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting
And screaming
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting
Ohh..
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting
Ohh..
Are we we are, Are we we are the waiting

the song's okay... but overall a bit bland and boring. the chorus repeats itself WAY too many times.

Very meaningful... It is "bland" compared to the others, but I like it.

Its ok really really really dull. Very reapetive which gets annoying after a while

If they didn't have this on the album, it would be perfect.

I really appreciate this track. You can't expect them to sound like dookie or insomniac anymore. This is a good song as far as the new green day is concerned.

okay, scratch what i said before, this is a great track. this song rules; if it was any longer it'd be too repetitive but it's just great. very moving, very powerful.

I think the repetiveness of this song is important, because it makes the next song, St. Jimmy sound better, coming after a beautiful dirge

I love this song too, but I find it funny how after Vash says something people say the same thing until he changes his mind (I don't know if Vash is a guy, just sounds like a guy's name choice), and then they start agreeing

I really like this song because it talks to me about how we all dream about getting out of our "small town" or "large city" and we're just always waiting for something exciting to come along. And the line "The Jesus of suburbia is a lie" is so true. Suburbian life can suck, especially for those who aren't part of the growing number of clicks in high school and so forth. all in all, great song.

Meh. It's a decent song, but if you ask me, the guitar is a rip-off of Everybody Hurts by REM.

Slow moving, but important to the story. I think the "Are we we are"s are very catchy.
