Squeaky swings and tall grass
The longest shadows ever cast
The water's warm and children swim
And we frolicked about in our summer skin

I don't recall a single care
Just greenery and humid air
Then labor day came and went
And we shed what was left of our summer skin

On the night you left I came over
And we peeled the freckles from our shoulders
Our brand new coats were so flushed and pink
And I knew your heart I couldn't win
Cause the season's change was a conduit
And we'd left our love in our summer skin

not the best-at all.
in my opinion the worst song on the album. but the rest of it makes up for this one... the entire album rocks.

This is actually one of the most memorable songs on that album for me. Bass and drums are amazing.

The whole time it feels like it's going to pick up, but it never does.

Whoever the fuck thinks this song should "pick up" is misinterpretting the mood and concept behind the song.

This is one of the best off the album. The bass line alone in here is great.

This is probably my favorite off the album that I don't rate 5/5. However, it's a solid 4.7/5 (so it still gets the 5/5 rating on here :-D). I really enjoy it because it doesn't fail my mood after listening to "Soul Meets Body"

Eyes, your an idiot. Eon said it felt like it was going to pick up. Not that it should.

I do agree with eon. the drums in it makes it sounds asthough it's going to pick up, but it never does. It's kind of a let down.

hmm, i dont feel that at all. Anyway, the bass and the drums are really nice, they make for a good mellow track.
