In this
Farewell, there's no blood, there's no
Alibi, 'cause I've drawn
Regret from the truth of a
Thousand lies, so let mercy
Come and wash away

What I've
Done, I'll face myself
To cross out what I've
Become, erase myself
And let go of what I've
Done

Put to rest what you thought
Of me while I clean this
Slate with the hands of
Uncertainty, so let mercy
Come and wash away

What I've
Done, I'll face myself
To cross out what I've
Become, erase myself
And let go of

What
I've
Done

What I've
Done, I'll start again
And whatever pain may
Come, today, this ends
I'm forgiving

What
I've

Done, I'll face myself
To cross out what I've
Become, erase myself
And let go of what I've

Done

What I've
Done

Forgiving what I've
Done

Good song. Glad they use Chester more than Mike because Chester is the strongest part of this band. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

This is surely different from their old stuff, not sure if that's good or bad yet. Waiting for the album to hear what it sounds like.

Pretty good song, I wouldn't even say this is very different from things they have done in the past (My December, Crawling). The only reason this disappointed me was the lack of Mike Shinoda. Hopefully he'll be more prominent in the rest of the album. Chester might be a better vocalist (though I guess that is up to opinion) but LP isn't LP without both of them.

See that's the thing, this isn't different from say, the entirety of Meteora at all. Practically the only difference is that Mike Shinoda barely has any vocals. Sure the sounds a little off, but I challenge you to listen to their other stuff and actually draw some sort of major distinction between that and this. It's not a bad song, not by any means, but it's just...the same thing they've already done.

I've always liked LP but this song bored me outrageously. It seems like they could go really far if they used chester, not mike, as is the case here, but use him better. This song just lacks character or anything to grab onto. Chester's vocals on their other albums are great, now I think if they showcased him and made him push it, they could make an awesome album.

Prolly one of the best off the album...Doney..this is the one of the best lol........and I get that Meteora and HT were very similar...but this album strays to far from their roots

I recently preordered the album off of iTunes, and although I haven't downloaded the whole album yet, I heard them preform this one on SNL, and they rocked. It sure is different from their previous albums, but in a good way.

i saw the music video on some music channel the other day... man these guys haven't changed a bit... same theme as any other of their songs... and what's with the vid? looks like something important's going on but the lyrics say pretty close to nothing... some of the old stuff was alright probably yeah... but these guys are just gradually turning into squeaking vaginas stripped of lyrical talent... almost make me wanna punch babies...

The 90's nu metal scene allowed for bands to get away with REALLY REALLY vague lyrics about nothing. ie Disturbed, Godsmack, Hoobastank. Now all three of those bands suck, and LP isn't as bad as them, but their lyrics are going that direction. Is there a market for this incredibly bland music? If they didn't have the gigantic name already established, they would flop with an album like this.

Hey, Disturbed's newer stuff isn't that bad. 10,000 Fists (song) sounds pretty good and lyrically not that bad... Compare those lyrics to Stupify. It's true.

And I guess as a band matures, so do they. As they get older, they can't keep doing heavy angsty stuff because you grow out of that phase. Take Slipknot for example. Linkin Park is a good example. You'd wanna do softer stuff that's more meaningful, rather than heavier stuff that's all about venting.
