I won't regret saying this
This thing that I'm saying
Is it better than keeping my mouth shut
That goes without saying
Call, break it off
Call, break my own heart
Maybe I would have been something you'd be good at
Maybe you would have been something I'd be good at
But now we'll never know
I won't be sad
But in case I go there
Everyday, to make myself feel bad
There's a chance that I'll start to wonder if this was the thing to do
I won't be out long
But I still think it better if
You take your time coming over here
I think that's for the best
Call, break it off
Call, break my own heart
Maybe I would have been something you'd be good at
Maybe you would have been something I'd be good at
But now we'll never know
I won't be sad
But in case I go there
Everyday, to make myself feel bad
There's a chance that I'll start to wonder if this was the thing to do
I'll start to wonder if this was the thing to do

And they couldn't have closed it off any better. My absolute favorite song on the record, and really, it's turning into one of my favorite of all time by them. This is the song that you will hear on numerous tv shows (such as Greys Anatomy I bet) and youtube videos across the world. It is so touching, and so sad. This is the Don't Confess of The Con. To me, if they would make a cd of all songs like this, I would be in heaven. I love how they just kept the music as simple as possible, and really went back to their roots. They said in numerous interviews that they did not want to be known as the twins who play accoustic guitars, but seriously, it's what their best at (in my opinion at least.)

I very much agree that this is the "Don't Confess" of the album. It's very beautiful and, again, has fantastic vocals, lyrics, and instrumental bits. This sounds like something I'd hear on "So Jealous," which kinda makes me doubt whether it was the best choice for "The Con" since it doesn't realy have the same sound as the rest of the album. But I'm very glad it did make the cut. It's fantastic and definitely does return to their roots.
