It hurts me to say this as slipknot use to be my
favourite band back in the day but slipknot have
become a fucking joke! Slipknot use to be metal
gods in the day of selftitled and iwoa.Slipknot
arent slipknot anymore, they sound soft and are
let down massivley vocally, i dont care if you
faggots send me hate mail but corey cant scream
anymore it is so irritating to listen to.9.0 live
was the worst thing i ever heard and i could not
listen to they whole thing without getting
migranes. Sure he can still sing exceptionallly
welll melodically so maybe he should just stick to
stone sour. slipknot shouldnt do acoustic or soft
songs cos there SLIPKNOT i loved them because
there heavy angry music Psyched you up like no
other band. And who cares what there masks look
like you spose to like a band for there music not
there image you FashionCore FUCKS! for slipknot to
rein king again kick corey out get a new singer

Regardless of After Midnight's rant, I can not
wait for the new album. I have not even gave an
entire Stone Sour album a listen, but always enjoy
Slipknot.

ok. dont get me wrong. i do like slipknots new
stuff. vol3. the new songs ive heard... but come
on. stone sour is supposed to be slipknots little
sister. not their main inspiration. since stone
sour started with jim and corey, slipknot falls
more and more and more into the stone sour sound
every album. and i hate it. cause THATS NOT
SLIPKNOT. this stuff isnt as heavy as their old
shit. more technical?? sure... but its no where
near as brutal. lets take vol3 for instance... an
acoustic song? (vermillion pt2) thats one of my
favortie NEWER slipknot songs... but its just not
the sam brutal slipknot. its like after midnight
said. corey is a great fuckin singer. one of the
best melodic voices out ther... but back when
slipknot started, there wasnt many people that had
a scream like his. and now his scream kinda sucks
cause he but his scream was the best. and now its
nothing. i love slipknot. and i love what they
USED to stand for. now they are just another
mediocre band

I used to think the same as "A Plot of The
Genius". However, I learned to get over it. You
could say the same thing for most other bands, and
that is not just a conincidnece, that is just the
way it goes in the music world. A band is never
going to stay the same forever. Especially a band
with 9 freaking people in it. That is a lot of
people to keep satisied.

ok....first off slipknot existed before stone
sour. listen to Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat....it
sucked ass then they added a bunch of new members
after the original members so a stone sour show
locally.... they came out with their first album
self titled, then iowa. iowa was great but if u
like that u should try out some screamo or fucking
"hardcore" music because u needed to read a
fucking thread like these to understand half the
shit corey was saying back then. they released
their album Vol.3 and admitted that the album was
for them, whereas Iowa was for the fans. thats why
people liked it better...simple as that. you don't
have to like slipknot's new music midnight as long
as u don't bitch out and quit listening to the old
stuff because of the newer stuff they've put out.
and i have to assume that skatterbone is right.
that may be why the albums softer, its the sound
of a band laying in the grave wheezing its last

Ok Linscott heres a history lesson for you.Stone
sour was around before slipknot.Stone Sour formed
in 1992 by corey taylor and he quit stone sour in
1997 and later on joined slipknot,Jim root was
also in stone sour but he joined in 1995. Slipknot
selftitled album is fucking awesome and will never
be taken off my heavy rotation list. As for Iowa
im not a huge fan of it anymore but i was when it
was released,its still good thou as it was
excellent in its day I just hate it when bands i love make shit music,i dont care if bands change and evolve as long as the music is still good then i will support them .My favourite band is In Flames and they have changed dramaticaly since there first album, i do prefer there older stuff as it is better but i also enjoy the majority of there new stuff, R2R is my 3rd favourite album of theirs. @ After Midnight: Corey cannot growl anymore? Are you fuckin' shittin me? Have you heard the song Sulfur? His voice is just brutal in the song. Slipknot wanted to make this their heaviest/most agressive album; and I think they've pretty much accomplished that. This album is a step above Vol. 3 which was nothing but experimental. With more thrash metal riffs this album is turning out to be a death punch. There's no way in hell that Slipknot's lost their music. I agree they've added mellow choruses to the album, but that does not mean Slipknot is dead. know, I thought you of all people would've known
that Stone Sour first started playing in 1992.
That was 2 or 3 years before Slipknot even
existed. Of course they never got as big as
slipknot, but still, Stone Sour's origins are
traced WAY back. Fucking sick song, sick album too. @ After Midnight, i'm not going to send you hate mail, i'm not going to hate you for being an idiot. In fact I find your reasons for hating on slipknot so stupid that it's amusing. You clearly didn't listen to the album in its entirety. OK I got this to say. To those maggots out there
who are still supporting Slipknot, thank you, I am
glad I am not alone and that fellow maggots are
still out there. Now to those who feel that they
have softened and changed for the "worse". First
thing I have to say is HA! They have evolved
further into what they actually are. Nine people
in one band makes this band something more than
what you would call a normal band. So many
influences in one band screams evolution. These
guys have been doin this together for a good bit
now, I am sure they know what they are doing. If
you don't enjoy what they have out, then don't
listen to it. And while you are at it hang up your
right as a maggot. A true fan is there for a band
no matter the chance. You realize that the band
you supported back then is the same as now, just
better. This album is amazing. Do I like the older
stuff? Fuck yea I do. I also enjoy the new shit
though. Why? Because I support and love this band.
