First of all, Shitstick, that was low. Second, Bob, you're the ignorant dumbass here. Kurt did Kill himself, just look at the facts. Sure a lot of ppl said that Courtney did kill kurt, but it never happened (even though this isn't his suicide song). If you would have read the liner notes of the album (if you got it) you would read the full story of this song. I don't want to explaain it all to you, but basically, he did this all in one take, and I think that it is perfectly written, and if they had the time to do some more takes of it, they probably would have made it sound better than what it is.

i'm a big Nirvana fan...this song is really great in my opinion. Not their best work, but it feels really haunting to me. Maybe part of it is that it's said to be one of the last songs they recorded... or just the way he wails "pain".... Anyway, I love this song and it's worthy of buying the CD.
