Don't waste your touch,
You won't feel anything
Or were you sent to save me?
I've thought too much
You won't find anything worthy of redeeming
Yo he estado aqui
Muchas veces antes y regreso
To break down and
Cease all feeling
Burn now what once was breathing.
Reach out and you may take my heart away
Imperfect cry and scream in ecstasy
But what befalls the flawless?
Look what I've built
It shines so beautifully!
Now watch as it destroys me.
Y regreso aqui otra vez
Y comienzo
To break down
And cease all feeling
Burn down what once was breathing
Reach out and you may take my heart away.
I left it all behind
And never said good-bye.
I left it all to die.
I saw its birth.
I watched it grow.
I felt it change me.
I took the life.
I ate it slow.
Now it consumes me

I'm glad they released this as a single, because "Girl's Not Grey" is kind of a let down for the first one, in my opinion. This is a hell of a song. I love the intensity of it and the impact behind Davey's shouting and screaming. A great short intro, too.

It's a fun song. I was kinda dissappointed when they decided to air this as their single to follow up GNG but it grew on me and I like it as much as all the others on the album now. Just look at these amazing lyrics... and the spanish is nice too!

GNG = Let down. This one wasnt too much better either. It's not even noticable compared to other tracks on the album.

I think Girl's Not Grey was a good song, but this one is better. It has good music and a good mix of Davey talking, screaming, and singing. I applaud this song...

Why does everyone seem to hate Girls Not Grey? I think every song on the album is great, including this one! They're all great! Don't knock it 'til you've tried it! (Seriously, you try writing songs like this...its hard!)

Deviant, the thing that makes this song and all of the other songs on this cd is how Davey (he's Davey not "the singer") says things. It just makes the song so much more exciting.

Horrible song by a band that is capable of music far, far better than this. I don't dig the Linkin Park-style guitar intro.

One of the greatest on the album. Started by a great guitar intro (which does sound like Linkin Park) from Jade.

no what im saying that this band is better then linkin park and most "punk" acts out today, and i listen to old afi as well so im not saying this to be like OMG AFI IS SO PUNKROXORZ, they make good music and i enjoy it unlike others who just listen to them because they happened to be on trl, and again linkin park blows and fuck mtv

Good song. I don't see the Linkin Park similarities in the intro. Last time I checked, they didn't do fretboard tapping intros. This album wasn't as hard as older ones but still a good album.
Hey PycoMaggot6(SIC)6, just out of curiosity, why such hatred towards Mtv and Linkin Park? LP is doing their thing and doing good by it. Not my taste, but they're making money. And why such hate on Mtv? After all, they did help propel Slipknot into the limelight 5 years ago. And by looking at your name, which is an obvious reference to Slipknot, you should be thankful for a place like Mtv. You think they would get airplay on most radiostations? I think not. Clear Channel would not touch that, and Infinity Broadcasting would have a hard time opening up to them as well. TV brought them their fame because the "mask band" and Nu-Metal was in.

It's my firm opinion that Davey Havok is in fact nothing special. His lyrics are indeed top-notch, but please people, quit giving Davey Havok all the credit whereas none of the other members are commented upon. No one even mentioned how groovy the intro sounds, not how depressing the music alone is. Could any of you even list the members of this band besides Davey without looking them up immediately? (A FIRE INSIDE not included)

the other 2 members were Geoff Kresge and some guy named Vic who played guitar. Mark came after. Geoff is now tattooed head top toe with a mohawk and looks like the scariest motherfucker in the world. He plays standup bass in Tiger Army.
