Covered As: Hey Jude by Grateful Dead
Hey Jude by Sonny & Cher
Beatles Medley by Take That
Parodied As: Polkas On 45 by "Weird Al" Yankovic
Hey Jude, don't make it bad
take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Hey Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
The you begin to make it better
And anytime you feel the pain
Hey Jude refrain
don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool
who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Na na na na na
na na na na
Hey Jude don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let get into your heart
then you can start to make it better
So let it out and let it in
Hey Jude begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you
Hey Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Na na na na na
na na na na yeah
Hey Jude
Hey Jude, don't make it bad
take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you can begin to make it better
Better, better, better, better, better, oh
Na, na na na na na na
na na na na, hey Jude
Na, na na na na na na
na na na na, hey Jude
Na, na na na na na na
na na na na, hey Jude
Hey Jude

"Hey Jude" is probably one of the greatest songs of all time, by the one and only Beatles. What a classic. The piano and vocals are wonderful. I love the "na-na-na's" at the end, too.

I'm sure the songs from both you are most familiar with are "Enter Sandman" and "You've Got Another Thing Comin". Some of us have evolved since the 60's, and our taste consists of more than a bunch of British guys singing "na na na" over and over again.

metallica has never written a meaninful song. they create the same 'angry' song over and over again. what the fuck kind of lyrics are 'im in anger with you'? the beatles ended when they were on top, their last (recorded) album 'abbey road' is one of the greatest albums of all time. if you think they are just a bunch of british guys singing "na na na" over again, you are dead wrong. without the beatles there would of never been a metallica or anything like that.
You're not one to talk, you're still stuck in 1989, sorry dude, guns n roses sucked back then, and still suck today.

Sad as it seems, I just spent 5 minutes checking through all of Poopsticks' comments and CD reviews, and not once has he mentioned Guns 'n' Roses. So I don't know what the fuck you're on about

argh.....do you know what? i'm just to tired to talk about how metallica DID put out some meaningful songs (and some crap) and how nirvana DID have a right to be angry (and how kurt was also a selfish idiot) so i'm just gonna say this is a good song, stop arguing because you're all right in your own mind.

Hem is right! How the hell can someone say that Metallica never had meaningfull songs! Listen To One, sanitarium, nothing else matters, fade to black, disposeable heroes, My friend of Misery....etc. And you will find out that their songs do mean a lot to people! may be even more then the beatles songs! They definately mean a lot more to me!

Seriously man, saying that metallica has more meaningful songs than the beatles, is like saying that I.C.P. have more meaningful music than Bob Dylan. It's just not true. I know that metallica had some good songs that were pretty deep, but it's nothing compared to what the beatles have done. John and Paul wrote some of the most pawerful songs in music history, and NOBODY can argue with that. In my opinion, metallica would be nothing if it wasn't for the beatles.

Beatles songs don't really mean a lot to me and metallica songs do and that's because i grew up with it. Maybe the beatles were bigger and touched more people with their songs maybe metallica, who knows. But I do think the comparisment with Metallica vs the beatles is like Icp versus Bob dylan is a little overreacted. There really are a lot of metallica fans. The might be the biggest band on earth and their songs mean the world to most metallica fans.

And there are many ICP fans aswell, but the beatles music was just so powerful. Their lyrics in songs like revolution, let it be, come together, happiness is a warm gun, live and let die, and many many others, are just unbeliveable. But what really does it, is how powerful each of the members actually were. The government even went as far as deporting John! I like metallica too, but most of their lyrics were all about the same sort of stuff, and their last couple albums just plain out sucked. I don't think the beatles ever had a bad album, and you really have to be into them to be into them. I don't think there is another band in the history of music that was as powerful as these guys.

You do make a point there. But Still think you were a overreacting with that comparisment. I mean If the beatles are a ten Metallica is like a nine. And if Bob is a thousand Icp wouldn't even be a one.

Metallica is a much better band but the Beatles were very important for the time period. Their early music sucked but when they started to make good music (like hey jude) the became a much better band. sanofthanduil is a fag.

How the FUCK can you say Metallica is a better band? The Beatles own those fucking sellouts. Without The Beatles, there would be no Metallica right now, they were easily the most influential band ever. I doubt the whole world will cry when Metallica breaks up, "fag".

I agree with Alex.
Shut the fuck up about Metallica.
How that got on here I don't even understand.
I find it interesting that this song really DOES sound like its supposed to be about John.
[since, ya know, thats what John thought when he heard it]
[which I'm going to post as a fact for the song right now because i love doing that]
