What a song, it paints a picture and I was there. This is a nightmare, or is it. Moonlight and you can see, a skeleton before your feet... hands reaching through the flames calling your name. I am a child of thee, you look like one of me... This song is about the republican far right, the spanish inquisition or any of the very scary cults. They have been trying to kill me all my life. This is my favorite band and this is one of my favorite songs. Listen to lunitics running the assylum by Collide. it is great. Dannmarks
2. Rasputina - High On Life
What a great song. This song is as is Rasputina, a ballsie song and twisted. I love the cadence and that lyrics. I love the tenor of the song and the lyrical content. High on life is as cool as it gets. I wish more people had the capacity for it. I just love rasputina and thier whole style. Dannmarks
3. Switchblade Symphony - Fear
I love switchblade Symphony so much, and this song just paints a very vivid picture. The feelings just dazzle with jaded pain and dispear. I would love to use this in a story I am writing about viking women dealing with starving wolves in a frigid winter. Who shall prevail? You will have to read the story won't you...
4. Collide - The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum
I listen to ths song at least once a day. I think all Americans should listen to it playing loudly as they listen to the news. As far as I am concerned, this is written specifically for the thinking man's view of the current ultra right wing running America into the ground. The current ultra right wing sending young men and woman to fight in the modren religious crusades. All the whils stealing our right to choose how to deal with our bodies (right to choose). This would be my running song if i were running for election soon. On it's own it is a great song; yet It just is so much more. I will listen to this song until i am very old and use it to remember to the darkest days of political memory untilIi die. Listen to this song and play it for everyone you know.
5. Siouxsie & The Banshees - Blow The House Down
I bought this album when it first came out. It took me so by surprise that I thought that maybe I did not like it. Then I listened to it again a few weeks later and found that it was fantastic. It was so far outside the scope of anything I had ever heard before. Very edgy and avant-garde. This is an album worth listening to, as it was a sound that pushed gothic out to the edges.Tracks such as "Bring Me the Head of the Preacher Man" and "Blow Your House Down," just blew me away. I love this album.
