- Unrepentant The song was written about Nazir Ahmad, a Pakistani man who heard that one of his daughters had commited adultery, so he butchered all four of his daughters in their sleep so that none of them would "follow her lead". He did it to protect his "honor". 2. Trivium - Entrance Of The Conflagration The song is about Andrea Pia Yates, a woman in Texas who drowned her children in the bathtub because she thought they were sinners. 3. Trivium - Contempt Breeds Contamination The song is about Amadou Diallo, a black man who was shot 41 times, 19 of which hit him, by 4 police officers. He was later found to be unarmed. Even still, the cops were acquited of all charges. 4. Trivium - And Sadness Will Sear Song was written about Matthew Shepard, a kid in Wyoming who was hunted down, tied to a fence and beaten nearly to death, and then left to die, for being gay. The announced time of death was 12:53 AM, October 12th, which is directly quoted in the song. |
