I don't get why so many people would love this
band to such great extent, while in my opnion they
are just average. Neither i wouldn't understand
why people thinks it's the new 'Iron Maiden'
around. But anyway, some of their solos are pretty
good, still it's sad to see the vocalist changed
his style of singing.

I C Y, they're NOT the new Iron Maiden (far from
it, in my opinion) but I still think that they're
awesome. The reason the vocals have changed so
much is because Shadows had throat surgery.
Sounding The Seventh Trumpet is FAR better than
City of Evil, but City of Evil has it's own
strengths.
Don't take this as me
dissing your opinion, I just thought I'd let you
know about the vocals thing.

I hate to be this guy but im going to. Avenges
first 2 cd's were alright and city of evil ......
wow horrible. his vocals are just rediculously
terrible as well and im aware he had throat
surgery and blah blah blah, but the poin is their

fifty bucks their new fuckin album sucks too.
Their most likly going to have some wana be 80's
sound not to mention how they dress is already 80s
as fuck. and if i hear avenged do another pantera
cover im going to be real pissed. A7X isnt metal
nor will they be. if u want good talented bands
stick to like metallica and pantera. and if you
want some now metal bands that are sweet as fuck
check out machine head, theirs some fuckin talent.

A7X is, IMO, one of the best bands out there
right now.
I think Waking The Fallen was
their prime, but their other albums, especially
their new one, are still great.
And to
Trippsix6six, A7X is as much metal as Metallica or
Pantera or any other (metal) band out there is. I
listen to both of those, and many other bands that
haters like you would consider real metal. Those
you mentioned are amazing bands (not sure about
others you may like), and I'm not saying A7X is
any better than them, but it is my favorite band
at this moment. They're talented, creative, then
have a very original, distinct sound, and they
keep it new with each album they release.

I will never lose my love for Avenged Sevenfold.
Sorry dudes, but in my eyes, they are the SECOND
greatest band ever [Zeppelin leads as number 1 and
Floyd is third, just because I didn't appreciate
their awesome-ness until after Avenged
Sevenfold].
This band has been amazing
since the start [back in '99] and they are still
amazing almost ten years later. Bands these days
hardly make it four or five years. Stop dissin'
other peoples' music of choice and go listen to
whatever moves YOU.
Oh and Demented
Guitarist? I definitely agree. Seeing Taste of
Chaos this year was astounding! Avenged Sevenfold
gave one Hell of a live performance! KUDOS!

HAHAHAHAHAHA... Okay, I agree with a lot of what
The Demented Guitarist is saying, you people need
to relax. They sold out, in a sense, but it's
also because M. can't scream like he used to. And
saying that, they sound just as awesome now, I
actually like their newer stuff more than Sounding
the Seventh Trumpet (!). However, I think the
best sound, for them, was Waking the Fallen.
The new CD is really good, as it shows yet
another side of them. I just really dislike A
Little Piece of Heaven and Dear God. ALIPOH was
too experimental for me, and Dear God would have
been fine without the wannabe country bit.
But Avenged Sevenfold is still awesome. I used
to hate their new stuff. Then I gave it a chance.
