I do think Frances The Mute doesn't even compare to De-loused In The Comatorium, but, even so, it's undoubtly a great album. And, in my honest opinion, Amputechture is in the same level as De-loused, or, perhaps, even better.

All the albums are magnificent. De-loused, amp, frances, scabdates, etc. Cedric, Omar & the whole Mars Volta crew are complete geniuses.

People who like deloused more than frances the mute are people who are more prone to like easy, safe music.

People who prefer Frances the Mute are people with taste.

Deloused is a fantastic album, but it is probably not as good as frances, which is probably within the top 10 best albums since 2000.

I'd rephrase that as "people who prefer Frances the Mute are people with A DIFFERENT taste". Always remember that this is a discussion about The Mars Volta, which is really far from "safe music".

I Can't Wait For The Bedlam In Goliath To Come Out, The first single is wax simulacra and it's not bad at all, a little short but great track none the less. THE MARS VOLTA RULE!!!!

good band, good sound, Bedlam is clunky at times but i find success in that album. over all, when Omar stops recycling his music then i'll find them, once again, brilliantly legend.

De-Loused in the crematorium, could the album be anymore perfect? The answer is, "fuck no and fuck you for even thinking about it, you fuckin fucker-fuck"

I quite liked the first album. The rest seem a little, "oh look at me, we're different." I actually found some of their later songs quite hard to listen to. Whoop for De-loused!

after more careful review of their music and being an old fan....i have determined that the mars volta is like that slutty ex girlfriend you keep revisiting on those lonely nights, yet never really feeling satisfied.
