Wonderful work by this band of my 80's days..... As it has been the case for generation after generation, the music becomes part of your and who you were "back in the day," as they say...... Siouxsie and The Banshees are definately part of my happy memories of being twenty or so, and they remain an all-time favorite of mine still (at age 44). "S" and the Banshees are a quintessential New Wave band - some would say that they have punk influence, too - and Siousie Sioux's vocals aren't matched by anyone. No singer sounds like her. My favorite albums of theirs is "Tinderbox" (it has the picture of the tornado on the front) and my favorite song, if I had to pick one, is "Party's Fall" (i.e. - "Your parties fall... all around you..... An aura of sadness surrounds you.... " [but, then, ends so lovingly-] "My happiness depends.... on knowing this friend... is never alone..... On our own.....We'll have a party on our own...
