Danington what are you talkn' about, he is not a rapper. The Chronic is the shit but it's his friends on the album that make it good along with his beats. He is a producer.

Dre is a pretty weak rapper, but his producing skills is another story...

Weak rapper? Have you heard his early shit and his shit with NWA? He is a legend on the mic. Nothin But a G Thang. That song is LEGENDARY!

Yes I have heard his raps in N.W.A and the first Chronic album (I guess that is his 'early shit', cause you are not talking about World Class Wreckin' Cru are you?) and guess what? Dre IS a weak rapper. "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang" is indeed a classic (check my review of the single), but Snoop is the one that shines on that track. And as far as N.W.A goes Ice Cube, MC Ren and Eazy-E carried that group when it comes to raps. I mean just check out some of their most popular songs "Straight Outta Compton", "Fuck Tha Police", "Gangsta Gangsta" Dre doesn't have a single bar in those songs. Dre stepped up to the mic in N.W.A after Cube left, and let's be honest N.W.A post-Cube wasn't that good.

I'd say NWA had better production after Cube left. The difference between "Always Into Somethin'" and "Express Yourself", for example, in production quality is staggering.

But we are talking about Dr. Dre as a rapper here. And he ain't really a good one.

Well, MWA completly died after Ice Cube left, they made 1 album afterwards and it blew.

However, I must say he has a good flow, very mellow voice.
